Position Details:
Title: UPS Field Engineer
Location: You will be based from home, but should live in or around Atlanta, GA
Shift: Typically, Monday - Friday | 1st Shift
However, you must be willing to work nights, weekends, and be on-call as needed
Compensation: $85,000 - $100,000 / annually (depending on experience)
Gas card and vehicle allowance also provided

Travel: 85% | Primarily regional travel within Atlanta, GA but occasional national travel may be required.
Position Description | UPS Field Engineer
As a highly skilled UPS Field Engineer, you will apply an in-depth knowledge of UPS start-up, testing, and operations. This role involves commissioning, maintenance, and emergency support for power electronics at customer sites.
Key Responsibilities Include:
•Conduct commissioning-focused design reviews, prepares test procedures and reports, and oversees on-site testing.
•Performs preventive maintenance, emergency response, equipment start-up, and field modifications.
•Coordinates with technical support to resolve maintenance or operational issues.
•Assists in developing Methods of Procedures (MOPs).
•Reports to a supervisor for any unusual issues or developments.
•Trains periodically at company headquarters on testing equipment and rebuilding systems.
•Completes Field Service Reports promptly and provides proactive recommendations to clients.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate is a Military Veteran with experience in Electrical/Mechanical systems (Navy EMN, ETN, MMNs, Army Power Generation, Air Force Power Production, Coast Guard, etc.) who possess a clean driving record.
Additional Qualifications Include:
•3+ years of experience troubleshooting equipment such as UPS, batteries, PDUs, STSs, etc.
•Proficient with hand tools and test equipment for maintenance and repairs.
•Strong verbal, written communication, and customer service skills.
•Willingness to work nights, weekends, and be on-call when needed.
•Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software.
•Prior experience with third-party UPS service providers is a plus.
•OEM factory training or experience with brands such as Emerson/Liebert/Vertiv, APC/MGE/Schneider, or Eaton/Powerware/PDI is required.
