Position Summary The School of Medicine is the largest academic unit at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with over 10,000 employees. The School's Human Resources Office is a 'decentralized' office providing services covering classification, compensation, recruitment, employee relations, EHRA Faculty and Non-Faculty issues and topics, and other personnel-related functions. The School's mission spans the full scope of education, research, clinical care and service activities, comprising more than 40% of UNC-CH operating expenditures and more than 50% of sponsored program awards and indirect cost funds earned at UNC-CH.

This position is responsible for developing and documenting requirements for reports, testing and supporting reports for School of Medicine customers based on enterprise data in the ITS Data Warehouse and data from external sources. Position will also serve as the primary point of contact for system access requests and security audits for HR systems and Infoporte. The individual in this position will work closely with ITS Functional Analysts, SOM FBO Analysts, and SOM HR Leadership to ensure work is aligned with customer strategic and business priorities. This position also serves as a center of expertise for ConnectCarolina, Infoporte, and Tableau for the School of Medicine, interfacing with ITS and other groups as required.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Master's or Bachelors and 0-2 years' experience; or will accept a combination of related education and experience in substitution.

Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience - Proficient knowledge of Excel and other MS Office tools. - Ability to communicate with non-technical audiences regarding data integrity and clean-up initiatives. - Effectively utilizes new and existing tools, methodologies, and technologies to solve business problems and provides solutions that enhance operations, capabilities, and competitiveness. - Excellent organization skills, strong attention to detail, and process-oriented. - Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to interpret data. - Demonstrated ability to maintain a confidential work environment, including handling issues with discretion and good judgment. - Experience working with HR-related systems is highly preferred. - Experience working with data visualizations is highly preferred.
