Job Title: Office Concierge, Receptionist

Job Type: Temporary (approximately 1 month)
Location: Onsite - San Diego, CA, 92121
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Punctuality is essential)

Job Summary

We are seeking a professional Concierge to support our client’s reception desk in San Diego, California for approximately 1 month.

 

This position requires a candidate who values excellent customer service and thrives in a fast-paced environment. As the first point of contact, you will be responsible for welcoming and checking in visitors and contractors, managing the Visitor Registration system, and issuing photo ID and access control badges.

 

Ideal candidates will be highly organized, personable, and capable of handling a wide range of tasks efficiently while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guest Reception and Support:
    • Greet and check in guests, provide visitor badges, and escort guests as needed.
    • Answer phone calls and route them to the appropriate employees.
    • Make reservations at local establishments upon request

 

  • Administrative Tasks:
    • Provide general administrative and clerical support.
    • Email employees regarding public messages.
    • Maintain an updated contact list in the Concierge Playbook at the front desk.
    • Provide backup support to the Executive Administrative Assistant.

 

  • Facilities and Logistics:
    • Receive and distribute incoming mail; manage outgoing mail and shipments.
    • Make conference room reservations and arrange catering as needed.
    • Submit maintenance tickets on behalf of the Facility Management team.
    • Maintain and restock brochures and literature at the Concierge Desk.

 

  • Guest Services:
    • Prepare and display beverages and snacks for guests.
    • Coordinate with the mailroom clerk to restock breakrooms.

 

  • Operations Management:
    • Ensure the cleanliness, ambiance, and professional style of the Concierge Desk.
    • Maintain a logbook of visitors and guests, as well as an inventory of active access badges.
    • Participate in training programs and team meetings.

 

  • Perform other duties as assigned, with flexibility to adjust work hours as needed.

Qualifications

  • Education and Experience:
    • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree or college coursework preferred).
    • Minimum of 2 years of receptionist or administrative experience required.
    • Prior experience in a busy front desk or administrative role is highly preferred.

 

  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Strong customer service skills with a positive, problem-solving attitude.
    • Professional communication skills (verbal and written) and a pleasant phone manner.
    • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Proficiency with desktop platforms (PC) and MS Office Suite.
    • Familiarity with local attractions and destinations is a plus.

 

  • Other Requirements:
    • Reliable transportation.
    • Adherence to the company’s dress code and appearance standards.
