Legal Secretary with a strong background in civil litigation and personal injury law firm in Irvine, CA. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of at least 5 years (preferably 10+ years) of recent California experience. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and format legal documents, correspondence, and court filings.
- Manage calendars for 3-4 attorneys, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Handle extensive State and Federal Court filings, including e-filing.
- Maintain electronic and physical case files, ensuring accuracy and organization.
- Proofread documents for clarity and correctness.
- Provide administrative support as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Minimum Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 5 years of recent California experience in civil litigation/personal injury; 10+ years preferred. Experience in insurance defense is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook; typing speed of at least 70 wpm; strong transcription skills.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with State and Federal Civil Procedure and Court Rules.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills. Ability to work independently with a sense of urgency.
