Cybersecurity Engineer PeopleTec is currently seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to support our Huntsville, AL location. Qualifications Required Skills/Experience: 5 years of experience Perform penetration testing and vulnerability analysis of IT and OT systems. Consult with customers across the broad spectrum of Information Technology configuration, system hardening, and security assessment. Monitor and analyze network traffic and security logs using SIEM tools, proactively detecting and responding to threats in real-time. Use tools and methods to identify viable paths for privilege escalation, and capturing weak user credentials. Execute threat-hunting missions across networks and endpoints, identifying previously undetected malicious activity and reducing dwell time by malicious code or actors. Configure and manage cloud security tools (e.g., identity and access management, encryption, firewalls) to protect sensitive data and workloads. Utilize tools to obtain user credentials and session tokens for initial access in order to assess impact of Adversary-in-the-Middle (AITM) phishing campaigns. Integrate vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, Tenable) with existing security infrastructure, streamlining the identification and remediation process. Travel: Up to 25% Must be a U.S. Citizen An active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Top Secret/SCI clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.
