Job Description
Individuals will be working with glass, ensuring that machines are locked, printing tags, and paying close attention to detail. Under the direction of the Wareroom Supervisor, this position involves processing the continuous ribbon, operating automatic packing equipment, stacking and using overhead cranes, mobile equipment, and hand tools to process the ribbon into containers, and handling and zoning the materials properly. Assisting other departments or plant personnel during emergency situations may also be required.
Responsibilities- Work under the leadership and coaching of the Wareroom Supervisor as an integral part of the wareroom team.
- Record production information as required and maintain good housekeeping.
- Paint, assist in any other job in an emergency, obtain necessary supplies, dispose of trash and cullet, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Meet safety and housekeeping requirements as specified in plant and department manuals or procedures.
- Utilize quality improvement processes in all phases of job duties.
- Respond to changes in product mix and line flows to assist other team members.
- Provide relief for other team members during appropriate break times.
- Respond as necessary to any job in an emergency.
- Interpret and use specifications and run plans as communicated through hard copy or electronic means.
- Experience in warehouse operation and general production.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to utilize small hand tools and other labor-saving devices.
- Attention to detail.
- Experience in packing, forklift operation, inspection, production, and packaging.
- Minimum of a high school diploma.

Work EnvironmentThe work environment may be dirtier due to flakes from the glass. It is not a very fast-paced environment. The shifts are 12-hour rotating shifts from 7:15 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:15 PM to 7:30 AM.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $48796.80 - $48796.80
