PacArctic, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Custodian, Second Shift to support PAC and our government customer in Portsmouth, NH. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust.

The Custodian performs a variety of services which can include cleaning, restrooms, showers, gyms, kitchenettes, window washing, window treatments (drapes, blinds, etc.), trash removal, recycling, landscaping, and maintaining a building or area.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Keep buildings in clean and orderly condition.
  • Maintains premises, rest and working areas of offices and industrial buildings in clean and orderly condition.
  • Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.
  • Entrances, lobbies, corridors, areaways, and facility connecting passageways maintained to be clean and free of trash/debris or foreign matter daily.
  • Restrooms, locker rooms shower stalls, water fountains, utility sinks cleaned, disinfected and bright with no obvious dust, stains, streaks, soil substances, rust, mold or encrustation.
  • Exterior grounds, parking lots, vehicular courts, and sidewalks shall present a clean appearance, free of litter, dirt, trash, debris or discarded items.
  • Wastebaskets/receptacles maintained free of trash/debris and residue.
  • Carpeting throughout the buildings kept clean of any visual dirt, soil substances, spillages, or stains.
  • Hard floors maintained clean and free of trash/debris or foreign matter.
  • Loading docks, platforms, ramps, and driveways maintained to ensure that areas are free of trash, debris, and other discarded materials.
  • Mirrors, pictures and glass surfaces shall be clean, free of obvious dirt, dust, smudges or soil substances.
  • Other duties as assigned by lead custodian, supervisor and project manager.

Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift 40lbs.
  • High school diploma.
  • Demonstrated skill and comfort in working alone and in team environments.
  • Innovative thinker, with a track record for translating and executing strategic plans.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively interface with all levels of management.
  • The qualified candidate will exhibit the ability to work and multitask independently or in a collaborative environment.
  • Must be open to shift work: 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.
  • Full-time Night shift only, plus occasional weekends as needed.
  • Must be able to obtain a Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) background investigation clearance

Working Environment & Conditions
This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
