The custodian is responsible for keeping designated/assigned RS EDEN locations and grounds in a clean and orderly condition. This position requires great attention to apartment turns and keeping their work/supply areas in an organized fashion. This position requires the ability to identify areas that need attention/repair. S/he must be able to perform duties involving light lifting and operating cleaning equipment range
Pay ranges from $15.00-$18.00 per hour
Schedule: 16-20 hours per week, Monday-Friday
3 days x 6 hour shifts or 4 days x 4 hour shifts
RESPONSIBILITIES
•Cleans hallways, stairs, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, and office space.
•Performs cleaning for turnover of rental units.
•Empties wastebaskets, trash, and garbage containers.
•Cleans snow and debris from sidewalk by use of shovel or machine operated equipment.
•Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors using conventional or machine methods (Floor stripper/buffer).
•Cleans and vacuums rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
•Dusts furniture and interior areas of facilities.
•Wash walls, ceilings, and other woodwork as required.
•Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
•Replenishes bathroom supplies.
•Cleans kitchen areas to include dishes.
•Assists with cleaning units in preparation for turnover.
•Attains, maintains, and promotes a positive, safe, harmonious, productive, and challenging work environment.
•Notifies management concerning the needs for major or minor repairs to facility.
•Notifies supervisor regarding supplies needed.
•Ability to be redirected, as needed or at a moment's notice.
•Performs other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Required:
•Ability to work a flexible schedule.
•Custodial experience, knowledge of products and machines.
•Ability to work independently with limited direction/supervision.
•Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
•Experience working with diverse cultural groups.
•Criminal background checks must show compliance with the regulations required under statute related to the Kari Koskinen law.
