Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform set-up and tear-down of classrooms and multi-purpose rooms, which may include but is not limited to: 5’ and 8’ tables, folding chairs, stackable chairs, easels, podiums, pipe and drape, round tables and other furniture or accessories.
  • Clean and disinfect tables and chairs in preparation for an event.
  • Move furniture and equipment into and out of the buildings.
  • Remove and dispose of all trash from buildings.
  • Open and close facilities according to Contract requirements.
  • Run general errands as requested.
  • Perform general house-cleaning duties as listed in the Instructions for Daily Responsibilities handbook. These duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Vacuum Sweep/Mop required areas.
  • Vacuum stairs and landings, as well as the upstairs and downstairs classrooms.
  • Wash and disinfect tables and chairs
  • Shampoo carpets and light-duty stain removal on an as-needed basis.
  • Dust furniture, counters, air vents, light fixtures, and other items daily or weekly as needed.
  • Wash and polish as needed: baseboards, doors, door frames, door knobs and handles, light switches, hand rails, drinking fountains, elevator, fixtures, mirrors, dispensers and light switches in classrooms, offices, large rooms, public areas and other areas as designated by Team Leader.
  • Clean all restrooms, including toilets, walls, lavatories, mirrors and dispensers throughout the day and restocking products as needed.
  • Pick up trash and remove to dumpsters
  • Spot-clean fingerprints and handprints on walls using proper procedure.
  • Stock and maintain cleaning supplies inventories throughout the buildings on an as-needed basis.
  • Inspect facilities, noting maintenance and repair needs and filling out Task Requests.
  • Special projects as requested.
  • Work in close association with the entire staff to build and maintain a strong team environment and complete the work.
  • Cooperate with Events Supervisors by performing any other duties when asked to do so
