Specific Responsibilities for Custodian:
1. Responsible for performing duties such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing and waxing hallways,
stairs, offices, classrooms, walls, and other areas of building
2. Empties trash receptacles and bags trash for proper disposal and decontaminate trash receptacles
3. Moves, rearranges, and dusts furniture and fixtures
4. Secures area after performing cleaning duties
5. Receives and distributes shipments
6. Maintain, mix, and distribute supplies as necessary
7. Keep inventory of custodial supplies, and restock custodial supplies as necessary throughout facility
8. Cleans and waxes floor using industrial-size mops and/or machines
9. Strips and polishes floor using buffing machines
10. Mixes or blends routine cleaning solutions to proper concentrations as necessary for various tasks
11. Responsible for treating staff, visitors, and children with professional respect
12. Washes blinds, windows, and walls with prescribed solutions
13. Sweeps sidewalks, porches, and tiled surfaces
14. Operates wet/dry vacuum for cleaning and shampooing carpeted areas
15. Makes simple or temporary repairs to broken furniture and equipment
16. Maintains equipment; reports need for painting and minor building or equipment repair to supervisor
17. Replaces light bulbs
18. Perform daily playgrounds checks as assigned
19. Reports safety hazards to supervisor

20. Folds and issues clothing and linen when assigned
21. Cuts grass, trims shrubs, waters plants, cleans up debris and performs other related duties on the
grounds when assigned.
22. Performs custodial related duties necessary to maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions
23. Performs varied custodial tasks necessary for the upkeep of building and grounds
24. Responsible for notifying Lead Teacher/Center Coordinator when unsupervised children are
detected.
25. Responsible for care and accountability of assigned assets including inventory and records of such.
26. Perform all duties in a safe and professional manner
27. Promotes parent and community volunteers and actively seeks in-kind donations
Specific Responsibilities for Food Transporter:
28. Responsible for the transporting of food to and from the classrooms
29. Assist with the serving and cleaning up of meals
30. Responsible for returning utensils and serving materials to the preparation site
31. Knows guidelines for portions served to enrollees and staff
32. Adhere to designated health and safety procedures such as washing hands, wearing gloves, and
wearing a hair net
33. All other related duties as assigned
