Maintenance Technician (Night Shift) Job at Lyons Magnus LLC in Walton

Lyons Magnus is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its Kentucky Facility.

• This is an hourly position from 6:00p - 6:00a
• Pay is between $25.00 - $32.00/hour depending on experience
• Schedule is (4) 12 hour shifts that rotate monthly
• Night Shift receives a 5% shift differential on top of their hourly rate

Job Summary:

• Maintenance Team supports the production department in maintaining a Working and Safe, environment.
• Assists in GMP Master Sanitation Program within specified work area.
• Continuing effort in Preventative and Predictive Maintenance.
• Assist the Maintenance clerk in Inventory control.
• Assist the Maintenance Manager in overseeing that daily routines and task are completed in a timely fashion.
• Enter detailed comments into the company computer tracking system (Red Zone, CMMS, etc.)
• Other duties at the discretion of management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Daily Preventative or Predictive maintenance based on the established schedule. This would include, but is not limited to the following:

1. Production Lines
2. Building Maintenance
3. Boiler and other vital components

• Ensure that the maintenance team is being productive and proactive in supporting the production team.
• Ensure that fellow mechanics and any other personnel are following the inventory control systems set in place.
• General Maintenance Housekeeping
• Assist the Maintenance Manager in the overseeing of project work and outside contractors.
• Assist the Maintenance Manager in scheduling repair work and predictive Maintenance.
• Supporting the Lyons Magnus-East Safety program, including enforcement of the Lockout/ tag out Policy and insuring that the equipment safety devices are operational.

Requirements

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a skilled trade apprenticeship is preferred but not required (mechanical, electrical, machinist, pipe fitter, etc.)
• Five years of working experience in a maintenance department or other technical related training.
• Self-Motivated/Self Starter
• Ability to direct and Motivate other team members to complete specific tasks
• Ability to follow directions
• Takes pride in work
• Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to give technical guidance to other team members.
• Ability to decipher equipment use and interpret machine drawings
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Detail oriented with the ability to maintain accurate documentation.
• Flexible work schedule and the ability to work other shifts as needed and to work overtime and weekends.
