QUALIFICATIONS: Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or a foreign equivalency; Minimum 3 years of experience working in the field of electromagnetics engineering as engineer or any related job titles. Minimum 3 years of experience in developing algorithms for antenna measurements and RF environment characterization and proficient in designing and implementing mathematical models and algorithms to analyze and simulate electromagnetic phenomena; Minimum 3 years of experience with electromagnetic simulation software such as HFSS, CST Microwave Studios, FEKO, or similar tools and in interpreting model results and analyze electromagnetic fields, wave propagation, and scattering; Minimum 3 years of experience with electromagnetic theory, Maxwell's equations, and wave propagation in different media and with concepts such as transmission lines, antennas, waveguides, and radar systems; Minimum 2 years of experience in programming languages commonly used in scientific computing, such as MATLAB, Python, or C++; Minimum 2 years of experience in coding and implementing numerical algorithms for electromagnetic simulations and analysis; Minimum 2 years of experience with optimization techniques applied to electromagnetic problems, such as trust region method and genetic algorithms, and in developing and applying optimization algorithms to improve the performance of electromagnetic systems; Minimum 2 years of experience with electromagnetic and antenna measurement methods, such as nearfield and far field measurement techniques; and Minimum 1 year of experience with common RF instruments and equipment, such as vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and in performing measurements and analyze measurement data to validate algorithm performance and verify simulation results. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: ● Develop algorithms for antenna planar and spherical near-field and far-field techniques. ● Research advanced technologies related to antenna near field and far field, including probe correction, source reconstruction, and position compensation. ● Develop measurement methods and techniques for accurate material dielectric properties measurements. ● Research and develop advanced post-processing techniques for characterizing and reducing interference from the environment during antenna measurements. ● Develop new test methods for antenna measurements and calibration, and perform uncertainty evaluation of measurement systems. ● Maintain and develop chamber simulation algorithms and software tools, and apply the tools for the designs of anechoic chambers, antennas, and RF/EMC absorbers. ● Research and analyze data to support customer design proposals and technical specifications to determine feasibility of designs or applications. ● Support ongoing development and maintenance of product manuals. ● TRAVEL REQUIRED: UP TO 10% OF DOMESTIC TRAVELS
