Our Marketing and Communication organization is expanding our product marketing team for the Depository Receipts line of business and is seeking a Vice President, Product Marketing for our innovative and strategic product marketing team. This hybrid role will be based in our New York City or Pittsburgh office.

In these roles, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

Drive commercial success of BNY’s Depository Receipts business line, specifically as it relates to product offerings for customized and market-driven solutions for issuers, brokers and investors by creating and executing marketing strategies aligned with business priorities.

Collaborate with product teams to understand the roadmap, develop positioning, and create go-to-market strategies that are aligned with overall messaging across both the enterprise and the business line.

Plug into broader marketing initiatives across the enterprise and collaborate with other stakeholders across marketing to facilitate the creation, coordination, and communication of multi-channel marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities can include:

Drive marketing strategies that support key business priorities, with a focus on setting clear goals and quantifying outcomes

Build knowledge about the products, the clients they serve and the competitive environment

Develop messaging and value proposition

Enable client-facing teams to communicate value proposition and initiatives

Identify product synergies across the broader enterprise

Create and maintain standard marketing content

Collaborate with partners in digital marketing, creative, events and other specialist marketing functions to execute deliverables

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field; master’s degree preferred.

7-10+ years of experience in product marketing, with a strong track record of success in the financial services industry. Experience in capital markets, asset management or fintech environments a plus.

Expertise in developing and executing comprehensive product marketing strategies, including product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market planning.

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.

Deep understanding of marketing principles, customer insights, and emerging trends in product marketing within financial services.

Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and excellence in product marketing strategy and execution.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $119,000 and $179,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
