Certifications: Not specified Must-Have: - Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab experience - Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab experience Job Description: - Call Required: Yes, typically 6 evenings and one weekend per 6 weeks. - Weekend Shifts Per Contract: Typically one weekend per 6 weeks on standby, must respond within 30 minutes of callback. - Medication System: Pyxis - Documentation System: EPIC, McKesson - Communication: SBAR - Unit Details: Procedures room with 3 cath labs and one hybrid OR Skills: - Work Settings: Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab (required); Special Procedures (preferred) - Cardiac Cath Lab Procedures: Cardiac Stent Placement, Diagnostic Catheterizations Adult, IABP Placement/Removal, Impella insertion, Left heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, Right heart catheterization, Rotablader athrectomy, Temporary Pacemaker, Ventricular Assist Device Insertion (required); Optical Coherence Tomography, PA line insertion, TAVI/TAVR (preferred) - Equipment and Devices: Fluoroscopy, Siemens (required) - Procedural Responsibilities: Accurate monitoring, Equipment set up, EKG lead placement, Prep access site, Recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, Room circulator, Scrub- maintain sterile field, Vascular Closure Systems (Perclose, StarClose) (required) - Professional Knowledge and Skills: Isolation Precautions (required); Use of Rapid Response team (preferred) - Scrubs: Provided Notes: - All units requiring on-call have a 30-minute response time. - Floating: All travelers are expected to float to another unit within their scope of practice if needed. Facilities are within a 40-mile radius. Travelers refusing to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours. - References: Minimum of 2 supervisory references within the last three years within a comparable specialty/setting. Modules: Modules are non-billable, requiring an average of 16 hours to complete. Time spent on modules is self-reported, and completion is recorded in Workramp transcripts.
