Project Team Manager

The Team Project Manager will coordinate large and small projects and oversee the completion of projects by the Project Team, ensuring successful project delivery. In this role, the Team Project Manager's primary responsibilities are to define the scope of work, build and own projects in their entirety, direct and coordinate employee and financial resources to ensure project objectives are met, and execute final solutions related to new and existing products, services, or implementations for new or existing Technology Lab clients.

Responsibilities
- Create and manage the plan for implementing, moving, and finishing installation of technology solutions to the final client hand-off. Coordinates rollouts of small to large projects and client onboardings, including coordinating installing computers, networking equipment, storage solutions and other various technologies, Intune deployments, Gsuite, Email migrations, Server deployments, and other technologies.
- Assemble and coordinate the internal and external teams to gain consensus on deliverables from each team.
- Collaboratively adapt existing and develop new project plans, processes, and communication standards for the operations teams.
- Manage the formulation and ongoing tracking of each project, for weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance monitoring.
- Assist with the development of reports, and the loading and configuration of demonstration data and systems.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises and devise contingency plans.
- Own the communication and execution of solution hand-over to the designated team members, at each phase of the project and at dedicated milestones.
- Maintains organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies.
- Develop and deliver progress reports, requirements documentation and presentations to Supervising Management.
- Maintains an exceedingly high level of quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
- Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action.
- Test, review, and recommend changes within the Project Management environment to the Network Operations Manager and Sales Manager, without exclusion.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in developing Departmental Operating Procedures (DOP's) for business continuity planning.
- Proactively and continually contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Work with fellow team members in a cordial and productive fashion to achieve timelines, plan for projects, and problem solve in a cooperative environment.
- Completes daily/weekly check-in on project deliverables and major milestones to ensure all items are on schedule.
- Provides direct management and mentorship to project coordinators and project technicians/engineers, including Best Practices for project management, development opportunities, and training recommendations.
- Maintains accurate documentation regarding projects and project related technical information.
Requirements and Qualifications
Qualifications (Skills and Experience):
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Business Administration, or related field.
- A Master's degree or certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, CPD) is preferred.
- Experience:
- 3-5+ years of experience in IT project management, preferably within an MSP or IT services environment.
- Proven track record of managing multiple IT projects, including system integrations, migrations, or deployments.
- 3-5+ years of experience managing and developing teams.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Experience with Project Management software like Jira, Click Up, Monday.com, Microsoft Project, etc.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud services, and cybersecurity principles.
- Familiarity with MSP-specific tools like ConnectWise, Autotask, or Kaseya.
- Soft Skills:
- Exceptional organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills to gain trust and manage shared timelines between internal and external collaborators.
- Conflict resolution and negotiation skills to handle client or resource-related challenges.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or CPD (Certified Project Director)
- Technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Azure, AWS).
