Senior Software Engineer in Test
Fidelity Health is looking for a Senior Software Engineer in Test to join the Fidelity Health Benefits technology team. The ideal candidate enjoys designing, developing and maintaining automated test suites to ensure product quality and release readiness. We are seeking a hard-working individual capable of bringing a software engineering approach to our testing practices.

The Team
The team will be working on developing a test strategy and implementation of key technical solutions in quality engineering to enable the development team to quickly iterate and deliver internal tooling capabilities within Health Care Expense Management team specifically working on HIPAA Compliant Applications Access Platform (HCAAP). The individual will establish new automation infrastructure, maintain existing automation, and create reusable tests artifacts to streamline testing processes. You will be part of a scrum team as well as part of the Health Care Group QA Chapter. Key areas of focus will be frictionless test automation, generic test data management, Mid-Tier automation framework, predictive analytics and CICD Integration.

The Expertise You Have
  • Minimum BS or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • 6 - 9 years of experience in software development, with hands-on expertise in application test automation frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, and/or Selenium.
  • Proven experience with commercial software development using object-oriented design methodology.
  • Strong knowledge of web development technologies, such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Proficiency in Java, JavaScript and Python.
  • Experience working with relational databases (RDBMS), REST APIs, and related tools like SQL, Rest Assured, and Postman
  • Experience with Cloud platforms (Azure) and GraphQL is a plus.
  • Experience with event-driven applications (e.g. Azure Service Bus, Kafka) is a plus.
  • Demonstrated technical experience as an automation engineer/software engineer working across a diverse range of applications at multiple layers of the technology.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and great teammate.

  • You will work with your agile delivery team, chapter lead and QA team members to understand domain and accelerate their test automation strategy to enable delivery velocity.
  • You are a strong contributor with a collaborative work style, and you enjoy designing and implementing efficient and effective test strategies.
  • You have experience in testing distributed applications at multiple layers of the technology stack using a variety of automation frameworks.
  • You have expertise with using Java or JavaScript and experience with Cucumber/BDD.
  • You have confirmed knowledge of CI/CD principles using Jenkins and Git and can make recommendations on how to best include test automation into pipelines.
  • Work in a team of SDET's focused on automation standard methodologies and building reusable artifacts.
  • You bring a learning mentality to your work and are eager to master and adopt new technologies.
  • You have a shift left mindset prioritizing early testing and quality integration.
  • You thrive in an Agile environment and believe in the value of T-shaped squad members.
