Overview: Revolution Medicines seeks an experienced Director, Intellectual Property to join the Legal Team and to support and create practical, results-oriented IP strategies. Reporting to the Vice President, Intellectual Property, this attorney will oversee a robust small molecule patent portfolio and be the point-person for composition of matter and related cases at various stages of R&D. This attorney will be considered a trusted strategic advisor to the business and will regularly collaborate with senior scientific leaders and senior G&A management.
Company: Revolution Medicines (NASDAQ: RVMD) is a publicly traded, clinical-stage precision oncology company developing novel targeted therapies for RAS-addicted cancers. Its R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS companion inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies.
Experience: 7+ years of patent preparation and prosecution experience handling pharmaceutical small molecule matters via law firm training and/or in-house training. A Masters or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or related chemical science is required. Big Law firm training preferred.
Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience: $210,000 - $260,000, bonus, and equity will be offered for this position.
Location: Redwood City, CA. Non-local candidates will be considered with the understanding that a frequent in-office presence is required in order to collaborate with the team and other stakeholders.
Relocation: Yes. This is a national search. Local candidates preferred.
Bar: Candidate must be a member of the California State Bar or otherwise qualified to practice law in California as registered in-house counsel and be admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
