We are seeking an experienced Commercial & Multi-Family Senior Level Estimator to join our team in the Orlando area. This role involves preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for commercial and industrial construction projects, ensuring that all estimates align with project scope, budget, and client expectations.

Description

  • Review project plans and specifications to prepare accurate, detailed cost estimates for commercial and industrial construction projects.
  • Analyze and understand the project scope, identifying key materials, labor, and equipment requirements.
  • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to gather pricing information and ensure estimates are comprehensive and realistic.
  • Prepare bid proposals and collaborate with senior leadership to present estimates to clients and stakeholders.
  • Review historical data, market trends, and industry pricing to ensure competitive and accurate bids.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and industry professionals to stay informed on the latest materials, techniques, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Identify potential cost-saving measures and value engineering options during the estimating process.
  • Work closely with project teams to ensure estimates align with project schedules, ensuring accuracy throughout the bidding and execution phases.
  • Track and update estimates based on changes in project scope, schedule, or costs.
  • Prepare detailed reports for management, clients, and stakeholders, outlining estimate breakdowns, cost projections, and potential risks.
  • Assist in contract negotiations, supporting project managers in finalizing agreements.

Profile

  • At least 5 years of experience as an estimator in commercial or residential construction with budgets up to $200M, with a strong understanding of construction cost management and bidding processes.
  • Expertise in estimating for both commercial and industrial projects, with an understanding of key materials, construction methods, and industry best practices.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to generate accurate and comprehensive estimates under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, or similar), as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze project plans and specifications to identify potential issues and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Prior experience with large-scale industrial and commercial projects (preferred).
