Baystate Health, western Massachusetts’ only academic center and tertiary care provider, and Baystate Medical Practices, the largest multispecialty group in the region or the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School – Baystate, is seeking a full-time fellowship-trained Breast Surgeon to join our team in western, MA.  

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:

  • 100% Breast Surgery. Monday-Friday schedule, 2.5 clinic days and 2.0 OR days with a half day academic/research day.
  • Attractive call schedule which is exclusively breast surgery. The breast surgeons provide back up to the Breast Fellow who is first call 7AM-5PM and on call at night and on weekends every other week.
  • Team of 3 Breast Surgeons, 3 Advanced Practitioners and Nurse Navigators who provide patient-centered care under the leadership of Dr. Holly Mason.
  • Our state-of-the-art facilities across the Pioneer Valley offer convenient access to the latest technology including 3D mammography and radioactive seed localization with outstanding multi-disciplinary collaboration with Medical Oncologists, Radiation Oncologists, Pathologists, Plastic Surgeons, and Radiologists.
  • Faculty appointment to UMass Chan Medical School- Baystate Health. Opportunity to teach Medical Students, General Surgery residents and Breast Oncology Fellows.

Qualifications: BE/BC in General Surgery or OB/GYN. SSO-approved Breast Oncology or General Surgical Oncology Fellowship trained.  Strong commitment to collaboration, courage, quality, and lifelong learning is desired.
