Job Description
SUMMARY:
Plans, organizes, and monitors the receiving, storage, and distribution of all items received either from suppliers or production shops ensuring a smooth and consistent operation so parts and supplies are located and distributed to proper departments in an effective and efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal and external customer requirements.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages schedules of Warehouse Associates.
- Oversees all productivity of the Warehouse department.
- Priority of stockage of production line
- Coordination with purchasing for production parts
- Coordination with operations and planners for flow of parts.

- Maintain a personnel structure and staffing level to accomplish the Warehouse mission in an effective and efficient manner.
- Plans and coordinates work, trains and motivates, monitors and evaluates performance of Warehouse and Receiving Associates; ensures their ability to safely operate material handling equipment to move materials to and from storage configurations; Counsels, records, and disciplines as necessary.
- Maintains an equipment structure and level to accomplish the Warehouse and production line mission in a safe, effective manner.
- Provides appropriate equipment and racking to ensure the safe transport and storage of all materials.
- Research material handling equipment to ensure procurement of the most suitable equipment in terms of performance, safety, reliability, and cost.
- Ensures materials are staged for the production line mission, taking action to have parts available through supply chain management or purchasing.
- Oversees the supplying of materials to Fabrication and stages material for Assembly and Sub-Assembly. Ensures materials are stored properly to conserve space and comply with safety procedures.
- Oversees the rotation of inventories within the warehouse.
- Monitor and measure receiving and warehouse performance for accuracy of locator, receiving reporting, movement and storage of material, and transfers.
- Develop and recommend annual budget requirements for the Warehouse and Receiving Department. Anticipate and request funding for future personnel requirements. Anticipate and request funding for future material handling equipment.
- Performs other related duties as required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Warehouse Administrator and Warehouse Associates
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
The minimal acceptable level of education, experience, and certifications necessary for employment.
- Associate degree from two-year college or three to four years related experience and/or
- Training or equivalent combination of educational experience
- Knowledge and experience of supply chain management
- Managed warehouse operations for production operation

- Physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials
- Regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms
- Occasionally required to walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk and hear.

- Use of safety glasses and steel toed shoes required
