Characteristics of a Milestone HR Generalist:

In addition to the above, we're looking for an HR Generalist who truly understands the unique needs of our team. This person should be passionate about people and thrive in a fast-paced recruitment environment. They’re enthusiastic about learning and understanding the specific needs of each team at Milestone, and they’re able to expertly translate that knowledge into effective hiring practices. Most importantly, this person will actively contribute to a positive and enjoyable work experience for Milestonians across the company

Primary Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Lead Milestone’s recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and coordinating with hiring managers to select qualified candidates.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition and integration into the company.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and labor laws and regulations in all states where Milestonians reside.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, manage HR documentation, and assist with payroll processing.
  • Support the development and implementation of training programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
  • Assist in the performance review process, providing support to managers and employees.
  • Assist in employee inquiries and issues, providing guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to achieving goals and delivering high-quality results.
  • Take initiative to identify and resolve issues, ensuring project success.

  • Provide administrative assistance on any key projects or deliverables.
  • Operate with a strong attention to detail, superior time management, and optimal organizational skills.
  • Respond in a timely manner to colleagues to keep project deliverables on schedule.
  • Appropriately and effectively communicate employees' needs to leadership.
  • Work in a manner that mitigates errors with minimal oversight, while understanding the appropriateness of escalations when necessary.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HR, with a focus on recruitment and talent acquisition.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information.
  • Familiarity with HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations.
  • Advanced computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience in the financial or legal sectors, particularly with QSF administration.
  • Proficiency in HR software and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Advanced Excel abilities such as pivot tables, V/XLOOKUP, and Macros are a plus.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Asana, Power Automate, Power BI, are pluses.

Job Specs & Details:

  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm ET
  • Salary commensurate with experience
