NorthHill Technology Resources has a need for a Senior Linux Systems Administrator to support a Federal Program in Aurora, CO.

This is a direct-hire firm with our client, a leader in the Intelligence Community.

Due to the nature of the work, a current TS/SCI Clearance and CI Polygraph are required.

System Administrators collaborate with a diverse team to support exciting, critical programs with classified information system capabilities. Success in this role means you are able to develop, implement and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs. Program teams rely on your collaboration and guidance to define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems.

What You Will Do:

Provide IT systems administration of RedHat Enterprise Linux environments.

Understanding and knowledge of Windows Server internals or Linux fundamentals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods.

Working as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment.

Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS).

Understanding of data RAID, data backup uses and technologies. Install and configure software applications requested by end users.

Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.

Must be able to develop solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problems.

Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.

Travel required to other US Domestic locations as business needs dictate up to 5% travel.

Full time 100% Onsite position.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires bachelor’s degree and minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience or a master’s degree and minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience

Must have a current and transferable U.S. government issued

TS/SCI CI Poly security clearance

prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Must have Linux experience.

Must have an active DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (or higher) on start date. IAT Level 2 requires one or more of the following Professional Certifications: Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CySA+, CND

Must have experience administering Red Hat Linux based systems

Must have extensive Linux automation and scripting experience

Experience with patching, creating/maintaining RPM packages

Experience with performance tuning, networking, user management (LDAP), and security hardening

Administer, maintain and troubleshoot Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket)

Experience with Jenkins automation

Configuration of Scanning tools Nessus/McAfee

Proficiency with Enterprise level administration of common services such as DNS and LDAP

Strong analytic and research skills - must be detail oriented

Demonstrated ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with efficiency

Requires the ability to effectively interact with external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations and vendors
