Job Summary:
We are seeking a Cloud Automation Engineer passionate about innovation and emerging technology to join the National Integration Services team within our Information Technology Services department. This role offers an incredible opportunity to work on diverse projects, enhancing our middleware technologies that support both internal and external departments, and to grow your skills in a variety of technology solutions from inception through design and deployment. You'll collaborate with a dynamic team, driving technical solutions from start to finish and ensuring a high level of service and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and reliable cloud infrastructure environments with a focus on automation and IaC (Infrastructure as Code). Work cross-functionally with Architects, Engineers, Business Analysts, and Service Managers to complete design documentation and technical solutions. Utilize automated build and system configuration tools (e.g., Terraform, Packer, Chef) for network and server requests, software configuration, etc. Ensure high-availability, load-balancing, and failover configurations across application, infrastructure, and platform components. Influence and drive successful technical and customer-focused outcomes in a highly dynamic environment.
Must-have skills:
Proficiency in Unix/Linux administration. Proven experience with AWS services and Infrastructure as Code tools. Strong Python scripting and knowledge of programming languages (JSON, YAML, Boto3).
Industry Experience Required:
Previous experience in banking or financial services is preferable, demonstrating an understanding of the critical nature of the work and its impact on the organization's success.
