Nemours is seeking a Sr Medical Technologist (Hematology/Flow Cytometry), Full-Time, to join our Nemours Children's Health team in Wilmington, Delaware.
We are seeking a highly skilled Hematology and Flow Cytometry Senior Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing policies, processes and procedures for Flow Cytometry testing using current regulations and standards. 5 years experience preferred and must be currently working in Flow Cytometry. Must be willing to educate, train and work well with team members. Some responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Manage the day-to-day operations of the flow core laboratory, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and adherence to safety standards. Provide training and support to users on the proper use of flow cytometry equipment. Troubleshoot and maintain complex flow cytometry, hematology and coagulation instruments, performing routine maintenance and repairs as needed. Develop and implement procedures to improve workflow and efficiency in the lab. Maintain accurate records of instrument usage, inventory, and user schedules. Successfully pass regulatory inspections for Flow Cytometry/Hematology/Coagulations/Urinalysis. Order replacement reagents, supplies and materials without incident. Include others during the development of the new laboratory.
Job Requirements B. S. in Medical Technology (B.S.M.T. or equivalent, e.g., HHS examination or ability to meet CLIA qualifications for High complexity laboratory testing) required. Minimum of 1 -3 years experience required.
Minimum of 5 years experience preferred. Prefer experience in a clinical laboratory.
