Job Summary: We are continuing to innovate in the pet technology space for pet owners & pet brands. The pet software & platform service industry is about 20~30 years behind the human software industry, and this presents an opportunity to disrupt the market.

The majority of Petlibro products being sold are smart IoT devices, and we are projected to have over 600k MAU on our app by the end of 2024. As we develop new software and services to magnify the bond of pet ownership, we are seeking senior cloud/infrastructure security engineers to secure our IoT platform, cloud services, and websites.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement secure cloud architectures across multiple cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, AliCloud, TencentCloud, internal Datacenter).

Serve as the primary defense against potential hacker attacks, ensuring robust protection for cloud-based systems.

Design and enhance security measures for cloud-native microservice architectures.

Design private and secure network architectures for AWS VPCs and internal company networks.

Monitor and respond to the latest CVEs (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) relevant to the company’s primary backend technologies, ensuring timely package updates.

Monitor and respond to security events and incidents.

Conduct regular vulnerability scans for both external and internal networks to identify potential threats.

Perform periodic security audits and checks across systems and networks.

Review and analyze security-related logs, including Ubuntu system logs, gateway logs, database logs, microservice logs, and more.

Develop and maintain cloud security policies, standards, and procedures.

Collaborate closely with engineers, product owners, and designers to identify security gaps and implement solutions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Communications, or a related field.

A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in security engineering.

Strong understanding of cloud security principles, compliance frameworks, and best practices.

Strong understanding of microservices and security architecture principles.

Proficiency in Spring Security and related frameworks.

Comprehensive knowledge of network security principles and architecture design.

Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, including AWS, Google Cloud, and Ali Cloud.

Expertise in designing VPCs and inter-VPC connectivity.

Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools and techniques.

Experience upgrading Spring Boot/Framework packages to address security issues.

Proficiency in managing and securing Linux systems and database platforms.

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Skills (Optional):

Certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH).

Experience with Kubernetes and container security.

Knowledge of incident response and forensics processes.

This position requires a proactive mindset and a passion for staying ahead of emerging security threats to protect the integrity of our systems and networks.

Compensation: $170,000.00 - $220,000.00 per year
