Scientist (Mammalian Cell Culture)

Freyr is hiring We are hiring for a Scientist (Mammalian Cell Culture) position with a leading pharma client at West Point, PA. The pay rate is $55/hr. The ideal candidate would have BS/MS Degree with 2-5 years of laboratory experience, preferably in an industrial setting. Must be experienced in mammalian cell culture, proficient in developing and executing cell based assays and be familiar with molecular biology techniques. Responsibilities: Execute in vitro assays to support Neuroscience drug discovery programs. Develop and perform cell-based assays using various formats such as immunoassay, Western blot, real-time quantitative qPCR, and immunofluorescence techniques. Maintain and culture mammalian cells. Utilize molecular biology techniques including transfection, RNA and protein extraction. Process in vivo samples for downstream pharmacodynamic endpoints. Work in a BSL2 laboratory setting. Analyze data using curve fitting software (GraphPad Prism) and maintain records in electronic lab notebooks.
