Job ID: 24-04343 Linux Platform Engineer Woodlawn, MD Pay From: $50 per hour MUST: Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust clearance Experienced Linux platform engineer 5+ years of experience as Linux engineer Experience with hands-on RHEL 6/7/8 installation, configuration, server patching and upgrading experience required Experience with RHEL Ansible Playbook design, development, and maintenance required Experience with Docker and Kubernetes experience required Extensive REHL problem analysis and troubleshooting experience required Experience working with hybrid cloud environments required Ability to create custom Docker Containers required Ability to manage image repositories in support of Docker Containers required Ability to deploy PaaS solutions based on open-source software and industry best practices required Ability to automate Docker application builds using industry standard tools required Ability to automate the creation of PaaS infrastructure using industry standard tools such as Ansible Automation and Red Hat Cloud Forms required Prior Federal government experience preferred Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, preferred; or additional 2 years of experience DUTIES: Design, administer, optimize, and secure Red Hat Enterprise Linux v6.x/7.x/8.x Design and implement automated deployment and configuration tools for RHEL PaaS Use of Red Hat Satellite in support of deployment, management and auditing of the PaaS infrastructure Design and develop an architecture of PaaS infrastructure based on Docker and Kubernetes Design and develop an architecture of PaaS infrastructure in a hybrid Cloud environment Deploy a Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions based on open source software and industry best practices Automate Docker application builds using industry standard tools such as Jenkins Automate the creation of Platform as a Service (PaaS) infrastructure using industry standard tools Troubleshoot and resolve problems and issues within the Platform as a Service infrastructure Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
