Job Title: In vivo Biologist Location: Cambridge, MA Type: Contract, Potential for extension or conversion to permanent Responsibilities Execute and assist with in vivo experiments, including intermediate analyses and terminal tissue collection. Prepare buffers, homogenize tissues, and assess endpoints related to protein or RNA expression. Contribute to and/or revise IACUC protocols, keep detailed lab notebooks and meticulously follow procedures. Requirements BA/BS degree in Biology, Physiology or Biochemistry with 0-3 years experience, or MS A passionate scientist committed to applying their scientific background to drug discovery efforts surrounding human diseases. Successful completion of Biochemistry and Cell/Molecular Biology coursework along with intensive hands-on laboratory experience is essential. Basic understanding of the principles of pharmacology and/or fundamental cell and molecular biology assays. Hands-on experience conducting in vivo studies using rodent models. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficient with basic RNA and/or protein expression wet lab analyses. Ability to perform wet lab and vivarium procedures is required.
