Won-Door Corporation, a Division of Overhead Door Corporation, has an immediate opening for an experienced Electronics Technician to test, diagnose, repair and assemble PCB assemblies for our Automatic Door Controllers and associated devices. Applicant will work with Electrical Design Engineers and Programmers in prototype and pre-production validation of system operations and assist the engineering team with PCB design and layout. Won-Door is the leader in the development and manufacture of accordion style fire and security doors and controllers for commercial, educational, and industrial markets. Based in Salt Lake City, Utah, Won-Door Corporation builds and services 10,000 doors annually. Its customers include schools, hospitals, nursing homes, airports, hotels, casinos, office buildings, and government buildings. This position will be based at our Research and Development center located in Salt Lake City, Utah. Qualifications Surface mount soldering and PCB assembly/repair required. Component level troubleshooting ability required. Product design background encompassing embedded microcontrollers preferred. Schematic and PCB layout design of system level electronic PCB assemblies preferred. PCB CAD Software experience preferred. 5 years' experience diagnosing, repair and testing of surface mount PCB assemblies preferred. Education High School diploma or GED equivalent. Associate degree in a technical discipline preferred or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in a high-tech manufacturing, service repair or related environment preferred. Responsibilities Assemble and test prototype PCB assemblies. Troubleshoot, repair, rework, refurbish or upgrade electrical assemblies. Work with Production in verifying/repairing rework, wire harness assemblies, motor and PCB assemblies. Assist Production and Quality Assurance on incoming inspections, testing procedures, test fixtures and disposition decisions. Assemble test fixtures for prototype testing, agency testing and manufacturing testing. Set up, conduct, and observe endurance testing of assemblies. Record test results and report results to Project Engineer Work with Design Engineers on PCB assembly refinements. Assist with schematic capture and PCB layout. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Organize and maintain PCB assembly lab inventory and equipment. Job may require operation of powered industrial equipment such as forklifts and scissor lifts Responsibilities Assemble and test prototype PCB assemblies.
