Job Summary
Investigators in the UC Davis Alzheimer's Disease Center (ADRC) and the UC Davis Department of Public Health Sciences collaborate to conduct epidemiological studies on subjects in the Kaiser Northern California Health System. This position supports these studies by serving as a study clinical research coordinator under the direction of the study PIs and supervised by the project manager of the STAR study. The incumbent will coordinate all daily aspects of study related duties, ensure responsive and timely participant communications, coordinate ancillary studies within the STAR study. Incumbent will ensure study aims and protocol standards are always met, maintain study tracking and ensure systems are being accurately utilized, implement continued process improvement methods and review study functions for improvement opportunities. The incumbent will report study progress at PI meetings. High School Diploma, GED or related equivalent experience. Prior work experience coordinating research studies and scheduling research procedures. Experience administering IRB policies, procedures and HIPAA regulations with regard to protocol renewals, modications, amending protocols, and ensuring compliance with protocols. Experience maintaining a master schedule for tracking research visits, payments, and contacts. Experience consenting older adults from diverse backgrounds for clinical research studies. Customer service experience communicating and recruiting older adults. Experience working with older adults from diverse backgrounds. Strong organizational skills. Strong attention to detail. Problem solving skills and ability to exercise good judgment, initiative, and resourcefulness in making decisions. Knowledge and skill to establish appropriate work standards to achieve the highest productivity and accuracy. Flexible to changing priorities, schedule disruptions and interpersonal challenges. Ability to work independently in a team environment with minimum supervision. Ability to prioritize tasks based on the needs of research objectives and research participants. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in psychology, neuroscience, or related eld and/or equivalent experience with clinical research studies. Bilingual prociency in Spanish preferred.
