This position directs the activities of the Distributors Account Executives as they execute the strategies and maintain a key account relationship on different levels of Distributors organizations. Duties & Responsibilities
- Represents the Company's enterprise interests during the development and execution of the enterprise channel strategy and the distributor-specific strategies.
- Manages and ensures a solid relationship with the Distribution Channel, and ensure strategy execution to maximize the value of these partnerships with sustainable long-term results.
- Negotiates and ensures Commercial Supply Chain topics are considered in contract terms and strategic partnerships.
- Liaise with top level executives in Distributors in an evolving channel and increasing pressure to direct go to market models.
- Collaborates with appropriate BIAH US management and species personnel to develop distributor strategies and execute them at the top management level.
- Identifies opportunities to grow BI revenue and profitability by leveraging capabilities that include commercial and supply chain initiatives.
- Liaise with Species and Retail leadership and build collaboration to promote a consistent end to end management. Negotiate and ensure Commercial Supply Chain topics are considered in contract terms and strategic partnerships.
- Lead, develop and influence a team of Key Account Heads that will execute specific strategies and follow up on the value and efficiency of the various partnerships at country and regional level.
- Defines the programs, processes and tools required to support/enable the BIAH US strategy and distributor plans.
- Own, be accountable for and elaborate consolidated and specific Distributors Account Management KPIs (financial, operational, performance) that will drive execution and continuous performance, and that give the right inputs to the top management for decision-making.
- Perform regular business reviews with Distributors, evaluating the quality of the partnership, performance and common initiatives that can be pursued.
- Be an active member of the Commercial Supply Chain Leadership Team, and contribute to the continuous evolution of the team's strategy, performance and value added to BI AH business.
- Actively mentors and coaches direct reports with emphasis on resilience, accountability, agility. Demonstrated ability to lead in a frequently changing environment where key customers are impacted. Provides thought leadership and situational approach coaching to effectively achieve BI objectives.
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution required.
- MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
- Ten-plus (10+) years of progressive business experience required. Experience in the U.S. Animal Health Industry preferred.
- Minimum of six (6) years of leadership experience required.
- Management consulting experience preferred.
- Well-developed leadership skills.
- Well-developed strategic thinking and problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and resources.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results in a highly matrixed organization.
- Experience working in a global environment required.
- CRM background preferred.
- Supply Chain experience
- Demonstrated understanding of business processes, forecasting / financial modeling, contract management/negotiation and administration; and project management.
- Ability to coordinate large groups.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
- Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
