Large manufacturer and distributor that specializes in plastic packaging manufacturing, process & sustainable product innovation & design is hiring for an Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician for their out east facility. Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm $35-38 an hour Direct Hire Opportunity Please schedule a time to connect via the scheduler or email directly at Chamira.rosario@randstadusa.com for more information and availibility.salary: $35 - $38 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 5 PMeducation: High SchoolResponsibilitiesResponsibilities Conduct regular inspections of manufacturing machinery to identify potential issues and areas for improvement.Perform preventive maintenance tasks on equipment according to prescribed schedules to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic problems in packaging machinery and implement effective solutions to address them.Repair or replace defective parts in packaging equipment using hand and power tools, ensuring minimal disruption to production schedules.Collaborate with production supervisors and operators to prioritize maintenance tasks and coordinate repairs during downtime.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment history, repairs, and spare parts inventory.Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to create a safe working environment for all employees.Assist in the installation, setup, and commissioning of new packaging equipment as needed. Qualifications: Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic specializing in manufacturing and packaging equipment, with a complete understanding of packaging processes and machinery.Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems in packaging equipment.Familiarity with preventive maintenance procedures and predictive maintenance techniques for packaging machinery.Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams to diagnose and repair packaging equipment effectively.
