We are currently seeking a highly skilled Permanent Welder with a strong background in various welding techniques and metal fabrication. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of metallurgy, and a relentless commitment to quality and safety.Responsibilities:As a Permanent Welder, you will be responsible for:1. Reading, interpreting, and executing tasks based on complex blueprints and technical drawings.2. Performing various types of welding processes such as MIG, TIG, FCAW, and oxy-acetylene welding.3. Fabricating and assembling metal structures and equipment through the use of welders, cutters, shapers, and measuring tools.4. Inspecting and testing welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.5. Maintaining equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.6. Ensuring work is done according to established safety guidelines and protocols.7. Grinding, drilling, and cutting metal parts as per job requirements.8. Employing problem-solving skills to troubleshoot, determine causes of, and find solutions for welding defects.9. Ensuring quality control and adherence to all company policies and procedures.10. Continually developing welding knowledge and skills through ongoing education and professional development.Qualifications:To be successful in this role, you will need:1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a welding role within the manufacturing industry.2. Proficiency in MIG, TIG, FCAW, and oxy-acetylene welding.3. Strong knowledge and understanding of metallurgy.4. Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.5. Demonstrated expertise in fabrication, grinding, drilling, and cutting.6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.7. Proven experience in inspection and quality control.8. Exceptional measurement and calculation skills.9. A strong commitment to safety and adherence to protocols.10.
