Job Summary:

The Department of Pediatrics at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a part-time Senior Pediatric Infectious Diseases Specialist / Professor (HS). The successful candidate will:

Serve as the part-time Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship Director. Cover pediatric infectious disease consultation service (3-months per year) billed under University Hospital's Tax ID number. In addition to inpatient consultations, the incumbent will participate in supervising the pediatric antimicrobial stewardship program (ASP). Assist in recruiting and educating new fellows. Be responsible for pediatric component of Peds LD training; lecture to fellows, research, and all core competency training. Provide both didactic and clinical based education of pediatric residents on Peds ID topics essential to pediatric residency training. Provide both didactic and clinic-based education of undergraduate medical students on Peds ID topics as mandated by the LCME. Required Qualifications:

New York State Medical License. Board Certified in Pediatric Infectious Diseases. Experience teaching residents and medical students.
