About the Role:
The Market Manager will be responsible for leading the sales and distribution teams in their assigned state, working with the Regional Directors as well as VPs of Sales, Marketing, and Distribution to create and execute go-to-market and market activation strategies that drive growth and meet revenue targets. The successful candidate will have experience managing a team of sales representatives, a deep understanding of the local cannabis industry, and a proven track record of success in driving revenue growth. This person should be based South or Central Jersey.
In this role you will:
Manage and develop a team of Account Managers & Field Marketing team embers, providing guidance and support to ensure sales targets are met Oversee distribution team & deliver drivers: own back-of-house SOPs including picking/packing, manifesting, routing logistics, and delivery sequence Develop and execute sales strategies in alignment with national objectives and market-specific demand Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders in the cannabis industry Collaborate with the sales management team to develop and implement pricing strategies, promotions, and other initiatives to drive revenue growth Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify untapped opportunities Collaborate with the Finance department to reconcile and manage accounts receivable Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in regulations to ensure compliance and inform sales strategies Travel 50% to be a hands-on mentor for account managers and distribution team You'll be a great fit if you have the following:
You have a proven track record of sales excellence, business development, and team leadership You have professional experience in, and deep connections across, the local cannabis industry in assigned state You have a strong driving record and can pass periotic DMV & insurance checks You have excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills You have a high proficiency in MS Suite and cannabis specific technology platforms such as METRC You understand sales metrics and how to use data to inform decision-making You enjoy working collaboratively with cross-functional teams You demonstrate integrity and respect in all interactions, fostering a positive and supportive work environment You strive for the highest standards in every aspect of your role You can adapt to and drive change with enthusiasm Interview Process:
