Must have two years of Neuro ICU experience in a large level one Trauma facility Must hold an active ACLS & BLS Must have an active AZ license or compact **MUST HAVE LEVEL 1 TRAUMA EXP*** **MUST HAVE EVD EXPERIENCE** Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance No first time travelers Must have strong neuro assessment skills and ICP monitoring experience Schedule Information
12hr / 7-7. May be placed on Standby for a scheduled shift Day 1 PASS/FAIL SIMs Lab requirements 2 weekends per 4 weeks 2 out of 3 major holidays Unit Specific Information
Charge Nurse does not take patients Floating: Required to float between all ICU floors, and all Tele Units Floor specific orientation: 2 shifts on the floor Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Any patient that would qualify for critical care with a neuro diagnosis Hospital does cranis, brain tumor removal and ablations, brain biopsies, complicated spine surgeries and scoliosis repair Additional Details
Medical Solutions Pre-Screens If clinical recommends, AUTO OFFER SIMs lab is pass/fail Travelers that understand sterile field typically pass SIMs Lab skills In addition to SIMs Lab, they will also go through lifts, restraints, & wound care
