Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior PeopleSoft Systems Analyst to support the upgrade of the PeopleTools engine to version 8.60 (patch 11) from the current version 8.59 (patch 09). This upgrade is critical to maintaining Oracle support, leveraging cutting-edge features, and aligning with strategic business objectives. The project will follow a traditional waterfall model, progressing through the fit-gap analysis, design, construction/retrofits, testing, and implementation phases. The Senior PeopleSoft Systems Analyst will play a key role in ensuring the success of this project.
Key Responsibilities Lead the upgrade process of the PeopleTools engine from version 8.59 (patch 09) to 8.60 (patch 11), ensuring all phases are completed on time and within scope. Perform fit-gap analysis to assess the differences between the current and upgraded PeopleTools versions and document the requirements for the upgrade. Participate in the design, construction, and retrofitting phases of the project, ensuring all system modifications are in line with the latest version. Oversee testing and implementation phases, ensuring successful deployment of the upgrade. Document all processes for HR and Benefits Administration as part of the upgrade. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Ensure successful integration of PeopleSoft with legacy systems and 3rd party applications. Provide technical expertise in PeopleSoft PeopleCode, SQR, SQL, App Designer, and SQL Developer throughout the project lifecycle. Required Qualifications
Extensive PeopleSoft 8.x/9.x experience, with v. 9.2 experience being a plus. Proven experience in HR and Benefits Administration modules of PeopleSoft. At least five full-lifecycle PeopleSoft HR and/or Benefits Administration implementation experiences. Strong expertise in PeopleCode, SQR, SQL, App Designer, and SQL Developer. Experience working with PeopleSoft interfaces to integrate with legacy systems and 3rd-party applications. Strong understanding of PeopleTools upgrades and associated processes. Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications (if any)
Familiarity with the waterfall project management methodology. Experience with other PeopleSoft modules beyond HR and Benefits. Experience working with Oracle support and understanding Oracle’s best practices for PeopleSoft upgrades. Certifications (if any)
Certifications related to PeopleSoft, such as PeopleSoft Certified Technical Specialist or PeopleSoft Certified Functional Specialist, are a plus.
