This position will be responsible for initial interviews, reference checks and staff scheduling. The Staffing Coordinator will also conduct In-Services and clinical education/orientation to staff members.QualificationsQualifications:Prefer current licensed LVN in applicable stateHigh School Graduate or GEDExperience staffing in a 24-hour operations healthcare settingAbility to read, write and speak the English languageProficient in Microsoft office products, including ExcelExperience in interviewing and hiring nursing department personnelExperience utilizing electronic medical records systemEssential Functions: Prepare monthly schedules for all nursing departments schedule to be posted at 6-week intervals and 2 weeks prior to the expiration of the current schedulePrepare daily sign in sheets at least two weeks in advanceMonitor daily staffing per PPD and census utilizing the staffing resources to minimize overtimeReport any staffing challenges to the DON immediatelyMaintain attendance records of nursing staff and triggers disciplinary action for staffing issues in relation to attendance to the respective Nurse ManagerMaintain the open positions and applicant tracking logsMay perform initial interviews for nursing department staffComplete reference checksMay perform Orientation for Nursing personnel including initial Vision (EMR) software trainingWill perform Nurse Manager duties related to being a Super User in EMRMay initiate Employee Health requirements (TB and HBV) for staff in all departmentsCommunicate effectively with staffReport to DON/designee daily of staffing patterns and/ or open positionsMaintain accurate phone list of nursing personnel and distribute as necessaryAccept all staffing calls while on duty partnered with respective Nurse Manager to fill position vacanciesMay conduct staff education per the education calendar at the direction of the Director of NursingAbility to function as a Role Model supporting the facility missionResponsible for assuring patient/resident safety.Any other duties as assigned#IND_HarrDiversity, Equity, and Inclusion are at the heart of Cantex.
