Job Description Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00-07:00 Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Registered Nurse (RN) Certifications: ACLS, BLS
Must-Have: - Experience with ventilators and drips
Job Description: - Work in a quick-paced, multi-tasking environment. - Provide care in an 18-bed ICU with a staff of 35. - Collaborate with night shift staff, including Respiratory Therapists and other RNs, with ratios of 2:1 patients per nurse. - Use equipment such as ventilators, CRRTs, Rotoprone beds, EVDs, and manage hypothermia cases. - Perform typical procedures including intubations, line placements, and massive transfusion protocols (MTP). - Preferred experience with CRRTs and open heart recovery, as well as previous trauma experience. - Flexibility to float to Intermediate Care areas as needed. - Dress code requires the wearing of navy scrubs. - Expect to work 3-4 12-hour weekend shifts per four-week schedule, with night shifts scheduled on Fridays or Saturdays and day shifts on Saturdays or Sundays.
