Job Description Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Operating Room (OR) Job Duration: 8-week assignment Shift: 12-hour Day Shift Guaranteed Hours: 36 Experience: 3 Years of OR experience required License: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse Certifications: PALS, BLS & ACLS required Must-Have: Charge experience and trauma experience required
Job Description: - Responsible for scrubbing and/or circulating duties for operative procedures. - Manage department admissions to the operative suite and adhere to standards and appropriate aseptic techniques. - Consult and coordinate with team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative patient care plans. - Serve as a communication liaison to patients, families, and members of the operating team. - Prepare the operating room for the patient and surgical procedure. - Assemble and ensure the functionality of equipment and availability of supplies/implants. - Charge RN position requires prior charge experience and the candidate must reside more than 100 miles away from the work location. - Graduation from an accredited or NLN-approved RN program is required. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is highly desired.
