Experience: Minimum 1 year of oncology nursing experience preferred

License: Registered Nurse License

Certifications: - Meets the American Heart Association's standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years. - Bio/chemo or fundamentals course from ONS (certification valid for 2 years) or ability to complete this certification within 2 weeks of hire.

Must-Have: - Experience with professional nursing care. - Ability to assist providers in patient care and education.

Job Description:

- Provide professional nursing care to patients following established standards, practices, and healthcare techniques. - Demonstrate competence in making professional judgments pertaining to patient care. - Actively participate as a member of the healthcare team to engage patients, families, and caregivers in the coordination of patient care. - Utilize knowledge of practical nursing principles and skills to deliver quality patient care and treatment, including examination, diagnostics, treatment procedures, and understanding medication effects on patients. - Apply patient education principles effectively. - Uphold common safety precautions and be aware of safety hazards. - Follow office procedures and have a strong understanding of medical terminology. - Possess basic knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines. - Communicate clearly and effectively, understanding and following written and verbal instructions from physicians. - Maintain calm and effective actions during emergency situations. - Identify and analyze problems, prioritize tasks, make confident and quick decisions, and recommend effective solutions. - Administer a variety of medications and treatments, utilizing various types of equipment for examination and treatment procedures. - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required.
