Job Summary

We are seeking an Oracle DBA with extensive experience in database support, design, performance tuning, and cloud migration. The role requires expertise in Oracle SQL, PLSQL, RAC, GoldenGate, and AWS Cloud technologies. As part of the FFIO Data Technology Services team, you will collaborate with various product and development teams to implement data-related processes, optimize efficiency, and drive initiatives like automation and self-service capabilities. You will also work with large-scale environments in the Cloud and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Application Development and Performance teams to optimize Oracle SQL, PLSQL, RAC, and GoldenGate during the design and deployment phases.

• Work with systems analysts to define database requirements.

• Implement database improvements through automation and self-service enablement.

• Provide expertise in Oracle SQL Tuning, Instance Tuning, and Performance Tuning.

• Participate in design reviews and suggest improvements in database components.

• Support critical applications as part of a level 3 on-call rotation.

• Manage Oracle RAC environments, focusing on performance and scalability.

• Work with both traditional database technologies (Oracle, DB2 UDB, MS SQL Server, Sybase) and NoSQL databases (Cassandra, MongoDB).

• Collaborate with AWS cloud technologies such as RDS, EC2, EKS.

• Ensure adherence to best practices for database schema design, data models, and application areas.

• Troubleshoot complex issues and perform root cause analysis to resolve problems.

Required Qualifications

• 12-15 years of experience in Oracle database support, design, and performance tuning in a multi-platform environment.

• In-depth knowledge of Oracle RAC, GoldenGate, and SQL/PLSQL.

• Strong experience with AWS Cloud (RDS, EC2, EKS) and cloud migration.

• Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra and MongoDB.

• Expertise in troubleshooting and error analysis.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly demanding environment.

• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.

• Experience in Agile methodology.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly with non-technical audiences.

Certifications

• Relevant Oracle and AWS certifications are preferred but not required.
