Description
Job Summary:
The Cycle Counter is primarily responsible for ensuring the proper movement and accuracy of inventory located throughout production and storage areas. Key areas of importance are ownership of the daily activities of inventory control, resolving inventory related issues with production and finance leaders and executing the cycle counting program.
Duties/Responsibilities: Execute the Inventory Cycle Count Program & perform daily cycle count activities
Count randomly chosen SKU's and or locations Record count results and determine variances to inventory records Reconcile significant variances and record adjustments to inventory records as appropriate Work with Management, IT, Production and Planning to minimize inventory variances found through cycle counting
Work closely with ERP system for correct SKU's being released to production Assist in developing solutions to specific inventory problem areas with root cause / corrective actions Prepare/review other inventory adjustments, coding and claims with Supply Chain/Operations Prepare monthly updates for operations/accounting Monitor, report, and analyze Excess & Obsolete (E&O) Inventory, Scrap & Inventory Adjustments. Perform physical inventories and reconciliations as needed Monitor transactional activity, perform research and reconciliation to correct imbalances Develop and Monitor Inventory Control activities/Reports for accuracy and completeness Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and optimize cost effectiveness Understand & apply ABC priorities in accordance with Company policy Work with IT & Finance to ensure proper controls & accuracy of inventory systems. Develop and maintain necessary procedures, controls, analysis, and records to insure an effective and auditable inventory control system. Monitor WIP Inventory records and integrate appropriately into the cycle count procedure Required Skills/Abilities:
Effective communication and organizational skills Ability to maintain charts, graphs, and production reports Ability to perform basic math and measurements to gauge parts High attention to detail Ability to work with minimal supervision under general direction Self-starter with initiative to follow through on projects independently Ability to understand production sheets, inventory reports and the impact of other critical inputs Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required; AA in Business or related discipline preferred Minimum 1 year of experience in inventory management, inventory control or materials management Experience utilizing inventory control concepts and practices Experience working analytically to troubleshoot and solve problems Computer Competency - M2k, Microsoft Windows & Office Applications experience Physical Requirements:
Ability to walk/stand for prolonged periods of time Ability to lift 35 pounds
