Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (one later shift per week in rotation)
Create Maintain and Repair Electrical and Electronic components, equipment or systems in support of Radwell International and customer based requests. Provides technical direction and works with electrical engineers, electricians or technicians to determine best path for any given request. Also serves as a point of contact or business liaison, prepares briefings for senior management and assists in problem resolution specific to the program/project.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Handles Requests and Assignments as they come in.
Uses standard and specialized test equipment to diagnose, troubleshoot or evaluate electrical/electronic equipment. Inspect/ troubleshoot failed or problematic equipment. Determines root cause and provides path to resolution. Ability to read schematics and blueprints Build equipment Replace Old Equipment / Install New Equipment as directed Calibrate Equipment and Instrumentation. Analyzes the Requests and provides electrical/electronic input to support the project. Responds to the Information Requests as quickly as possible Prepares a plan of action for the task with the assigned member(s). Prepares a bill of materials when required Gives an approximated time of completion to the Requester, Updates Requester with any delays. Ensures the progress of the tasks as they move along. Reports back to requester with a completion notification.
Meets with management and technical staff as require.
Reports progress of projects and their current estimated time of completion. Records any new updates or delays.
Assists in ongoing requests.
Works on projects that have been assigned by management Uses their background to assist with ongoing projects. Conduct appropriate research and development to facilitate new and innovative solutions to the test environment necessary for the Radwell business model. Provides input for SOP documents and/or videos to guide technicians and for training purposes.
May be modified from time to time. Other duties, tasks and work may be assigned.
METRICS:
Must be able to work well with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team environment. Must be able to interface and communicate with other personnel in order to assist with repairs and troubleshooting. To consistently meet monthly deadlines and objectives as outlined in monthly reviews or through other project planning efforts A huge focus will be on identifying and implementing improvement to processes especially in the repair and PLC Center production areas. Target of such improvements are made in key areas including quality, production capacity, and goal attainment and that the company is prepared for expected increased capacity as we grow. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Demonstrated planning and organization skills 1-2 years of proven experience and demonstrated proficiency in the electrical/electronics, mechanical, and / or power transmission fields required. Must have exposure to electrical engineering design principles and methodologies. A thorough knowledge of electrical/ electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes. Experience in design, repair and analysis of electronic systems. High degree of precision working with minimum tolerances required. Ability to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work. Must be highly safety conscious. Exposed to high voltage electricity. Computer experience/operation Computer programming a plus PLC programming a plus. Proficient in MS Office. Willingness to participate in a team-oriented environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position does not have any direct reports.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Associates Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering degree. Technical or Industrial product knowledge a plus PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Reaching/working overhead, lifting, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling Continuous standing and repetitive hand motion Frequent walking Lifting requirements include frequent lifting of up to 100 pounds and continuous lifting of up to 35 pounds Working from ladders, scaffolding, and scissor lifts BONUSES/COMMISSIONS:
Eligible for commission after successful completion of introductory 90-day review. Monthly US Engineering and Manufacturing Bonus

EMPLOYEE EVALUATION SUMMARY:
Probationary Review -- Will be written at approximately 80 days after employment and will be used to determine whether employment will continue Monthly reviews - Monthly objectives are established and a monthly summary review is administered which measures the attainment of those objectives. Annual Reviews - Review same as monthly reviews for year along with Strengths, areas for improvement, and Plans/Goals for upcoming year.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Generally, the company's business hours are from 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday through Friday. This is a minimum expectation. Often projects and assignments may extend beyond the normal workday based on department/company needs, deadlines and workload.
Time off will be granted with proper formal notice in accordance with company policy.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The environment is a mixed office and production environment. Dress attire is casual but professional. All employees are required to wear Radwell access card and "Radwear" (apparel with company logo) at all times once the initial supply (at company expense) has been received. Closed-toe shoes must be worn. Must abide by all Radwell Safety Policies at all times.
