Proposal Specialist

Mabbett & Associates, Inc. (Mabbett®), an award-winning and industry leading environmental, health and safety and architectural-engineering consulting firm, is seeking a Proposal Specialist to support the growing marketing and business development (MBD) needs of the firm. Under the supervision of the Director of Marketing and Federal Proposal Development, this position will primarily coordinate the development of winning federal proposals.
Responsibilities
Proposal Coordination:
Lead the development of federal and state proposal submissions, including Sources Sought submittals, Standard Form 330s, collaborating with principals, project managers, and technical staff. Organize and facilitate kickoff meetings, strategy sessions, and review cycles. Draft, edit, and refine Sources Sought submittals and proposals, project descriptions, and professional resumes. Content Development:
Create and maintain marketing materials such as project descriptions, brochures, presentations, and award submissions. Market Research:
Track and evaluate leads through federal procurement databases like SAM.gov. Database Management:
Maintain proposal tracking systems, historical project data, and win/loss metrics to support continuous improvement. Requirements
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years' experience managing the full lifecycle of proposal development, preferably with an architectural, engineering, or consulting (A/E/C) professional services firm. Strong written and verbal communication skills with acute attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe InDesign. Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines. Leadership skills to guide proposal processes while partnering closely with capture managers and technical teams. Adaptability to thrive in fast-paced environments with evolving priorities.
Location
This is a hybrid position based out of the firm's Corporate Headquarters located in Stoneham, MA office or out of our Alexandria, VA office.
