Cloud Migration and Optimization:
Lead the migration of existing BI and analytics workloads (WebFocus, Alteryx, Tableau) to Power BI and Azure. Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency. Implement data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Factory.
Data Modeling and Analysis:
Design and develop robust data models and visualizations. Perform data analysis and generate actionable insights to support business decisions. Collaborate with business users to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Team Leadership and Mentorship:
Mentor junior team members on Azure and Power BI technologies. Lead and guide the team through the transition process. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
Security and Compliance:
Ensure data security and privacy by implementing best practices and adhering to industry standards. Monitor and maintain the security posture of the cloud environment.
Qualifications:
5/7+ years of experience in data analysis, data engineering, or business intelligence. Strong proficiency in Azure, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Power BI, and Azure SQL Database. Advanced SQL skills and experience with data modeling and ETL processes. Experience with data visualization tools, particularly Power BI. Strong understanding of cloud architecture and security best practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with migration projects, particularly from legacy BI tools to modern cloud-based solutions. Certifications in Azure and/or Power BI. Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
