This job is a member of the Network and Schedule Planning Team within the Revenue Division.

Scheduling : Responsible for analyzing and developing future network schedules that are designed to maximize American’s profitability, working collaboratively with all groups within the Network Planning and the rest of the Commercial organization.

Planning : Responsible for evaluating historical and future profitability metrics and booking trends, collaborating closely with Network scheduling, Operations, Revenue Management, and Sales teams, forecasting new routes, evaluating historical and future profitability metrics, and fostering relationships with outside stakeholders in the region such One World and Interline/Codeshare partners.
What you'll do
Scheduling

Develops schedules in the AirVision Schedule Manager environment that meet operational constraints and optimize profitability

Close in schedule adjustments related to supportability and demand environment changes

Collaborates and develops cross-functional groups to drive outcomes to the benefit of the entire airline

Performs data analyses to solve schedule optimization problems. Leverages understanding of the airline business and commercial goals to drive results and innovative solutions

Possesses a team-focused attitude and an ability to coordinate with stakeholders in Network Planning, Operations Research, and IT
-
Represents Network Planning during interactions with other commercial and operational groups

Develop an understanding of the various hub contributions to the overall network

Play a key role in the planning for a successful execution of the AA operation

Assist peers in the development of their strategic thinking and analytical/technical skills through the distilling of relevant trends from large quantities of data and understanding of complex data outputs
Planning

Track industry trends and use both internal and external data to identify lucrative opportunities to improve the existing route network as well as add to our ever-growing list of destinations

Manage key international relationships with our airline partners and outside stakeholders

Work collaboratively with other facets of the company such as Revenue Management and Sales to develop analyses and forecasts to advance our network in this dynamic business

Maintain reports that contribute to our understanding of our successes and where improvements can be made that align with our commercial goals and drive results

Garner support for new initiatives that reshape and rethink how our international network functions and interacts with the rest of the airline

Identify opportunities to create efficiencies with asset deployment and satisfy the requirements of other groups in the organization

Develops and delivers data analyses, data visualization reports, presentations, and other documentation necessary to share capacity plans with internal stakeholders at all levels of seniority

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/training
