We need your expertise to further advance our mission. Clinical duties will include the full spectrum of pain management, from office-based evaluation to interventional procedures to neuromodulation and surgical treatments. Academic responsibilities mainly include education and training of Pain Medicine fellows, residents from Anesthesiology and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R), as well as medical students. Requirements include board certification in PM&R with subsequent ACGME fellowship training in Pain Medicine (BC/E). Protected administrative and research time are available for qualified candidates. Academic appointments in PM&R and Anesthesiology will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Academically affiliated with the renowned Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) School of Medicine, The MHS includes a 550-bed academic medical center and is a Level I Trauma and Burn Center, a Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Magnet® certified for nursing excellence. ACGME training programs include PM&R and Anesthesiology residency training programs and a Pain Medicine fellowship. The MetroHealth Center for Rehabilitation Research conducts cutting-edge research in neuromodulation and has over $92 million in extramural research funding. The department of PM&R is one of the top recipients of NIH funding among departments of PM&R in US Medical Schools and is designated as a Dr. Joanne Sloane Rehabilitation Innovation Center by CMS.
