Services include site development, building utilities design, and specialty design for thermal utilities and electrical distribution. Many large campuses and facilities include central utility plants that provide main utility services. The Civil/Structural Division specializes in site designs for new facilities and phased utility designs. This allows owners to replace obsolete or failed distribution systems while maintaining continuous utility service. Key focus areas are developing integrated solutions for central power plants, healthcare facilities, and campus-wide utility infrastructure. Development of structural engineering drawings including site plans, profiles, details, erosion and sediment control plans, stormwater management plans, and construction phasing plans. Technical calculations associated with structural engineering designs. Cost estimating for structural designs. The key responsibilities involve creating structural engineering drawings and specifications, performing calculations, estimating costs, and conducting field investigations to support development of structural designs. Partner with structural office leader on client visits, field work and business development Grow Charleston structural department, hire additional structural engineers
Manage/Mentor incoming engineers Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Access, and Windows preferred. Working knowledge of Revit is a must
5-8+ years of experience in structural engineering
