Azure Data Engineer- Finance Analytics

The candidate should have a robust background in data modeling and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes. The candidate should have essential hands-on experience with Advanced SQL and Python. Proficiency in building Data Lake and pipelines using Azure is highly desirable. Additionally, knowledge and experience in the Finance domain, MS Fabric Implementation, and holding Azure certifications are considered a plus.
Development Responsibilities
Responsible for working with Finance and IT teams to design and implement data solutions. This includes responsibility for the method and processes used to translate business needs into functional and technical specifications. Design, develop, and maintain robust data models and ETL pipelines. Develop logical data models and physical database designs applied across multiple computing environments. Responsible for building new Data Lake in Azure, expanding and optimizing our data platform and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross-functional teams. Responsible for designing and developing solutions in Azure big data frameworks/tools: Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Fabric. Write efficient and scalable SQL queries to extract and manipulate data. Develop and maintain Python scripts for data processing and automation. Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and provide support for escalated technical problems. Ensure Data Accuracy and Integrity in financial data management and Reporting. Process Improvement
Ensure data quality and integrity across various data sources and systems. Maintain quality of data in the warehouse, ensuring integrity of data in the warehouse, correcting any data problems. Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for data engineering. Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations and best practices. Develop standards, process flows, and tools that promote and facilitate the mapping of data sources, documenting interfaces and data movement across the enterprise. Ensure design meets the requirements. Education
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant Work Experience
3-5 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on data engineering. Strong experience in data modeling and ETL processes. Advanced hands-on SQL and Python knowledge and experience working with relational databases for data querying and retrieval. Knowledge and experience of building data lakes and enterprise analytics solutions with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, and other Azure services. Nice to Have
Data Modeling tools (e.g., Erwin, Visio) knowledge. Experience with SAP HANA data modeling. Exposure to MS Fabric implementation. Knowledge and experience with other cloud platforms like AWS and Google. Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate) are highly desirable. Experience with Power BI / Tableau for reporting and data visualization. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proven experience in financial data analysis and reporting. The anticipated salary range for this position: $100,360.00 - $150,800.00 Annual. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities.
